In this course, you will learn to translate your unique perspective into tangible art, mastering a new medium with each exploration. You'll paint the cosmos with watercolor, capture the world's essence through photography and collage, and map your inner paths with drawing.
You will then harvest color from nature, construct miniature worlds from paper, and finally, bring your inner self to life with dynamic pop-up art. This is more than an art class; it's your guided expedition to discover the artist within by exploring the universe without.

Hey, I'm Lucas Lopes.
A visual artist and illustrator with a career marked by poetic experimentation and the connection between image and metaphor. My artistic research explores the dialogue images can establish with the world, opening doors to new internal and external realities.
Originally from Brazil and based in Barcelona, I work across different mediums and techniques, creating watercolor, natural pigment, acrylic paintings, sculptures, murals, and visual installations for libraries and cultural centers. My work also extends to the world of illustration, collaborating with publishers, theaters, and music projects.
Throughout my career, I developed projects for institutions such as Sesc São Paulo, Itaú Cultural, Caixa Cultural, and Fábricas de Cultura.
Additionally, I am active in art education, having worked as an Artist-Teacher in schools focused on artistic initiation and conducting pedagogical research, courses, and creative workshops.
All this experience is reflected in my courses where I teach the creation of cut-out and painted paper characters, blending technique with visual poetry. With an accessible and intuitive approach, my courses offers an immersive experience in art and visual storytelling, allowing anyone, regardless of experience, to discover new ways to tell stories through imagery.

The course is composed of 6 modules with over 10 hours of guided lessons and creative exercises. You will be invited into a slow, intentional process, exploring different art practices that encourage reflection, presence, and experimentation. Each lesson can be paused, replayed, and revisited, allowing you to work at your own rhythm.
This course is open to all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced artists seeking to step away from routine and reconnect with their creative flow. The modules are designed to be followed in order, gently guiding you through different forms of exploration, from observing the outer world to expressing your inner self.

Exploring the Universe
In this module, you will work with watercolor to explore color, movement, and fluidity. Through intuitive painting exercises, you will learn to let go of control and create expansive, atmospheric works inspired by the universe.
MODULE 2
Exploring the World
This module focuses on photography and collage as tools for observation and storytelling. You will learn how to capture fragments of the world around you and combine them into expressive compositions that reflect your personal perspective.
MODULE 3
Exploring the Paths
Using drawing as a meditative practice, this module invites you to explore lines, shapes, and rhythm. You will map inner and outer journeys through mark-making, developing confidence and flow in your drawings.
MODULE 4
Exploring the Garden
In this module, you will work directly with nature, creating pigments from natural materials. You will slow down, observe your surroundings, and experiment with organic colors to build a deeper connection between environment and creation.
MODULE 5
Exploring the Home
This module introduces small paper sculptures as a way to explore space, form, and intimacy. You will transform simple materials into miniature structures, discovering how everyday spaces can inspire meaningful artistic expression.
MODULE 6
Exploring the Self
The final module uses pop-up art to explore identity, emotion, and personal narrative. You will bring your inner world into physical form, creating dynamic pieces that reflect your journey throughout the course.
